NRP/556 Adult and Geriatric Management II sample papers, week by week

NRP/556 continues the adult and geriatric primary care sequence begun in NRP/555. The samples on this shelf follow its eight weeks, through heart failure and atrial fibrillation, kidney and urinary disease, neurological conditions, hematologic and skin problems, men's health and the older adult with many conditions and many medications.

Send the exact assignment or rubric from your classroom and a custom sample written to it lands in 24 to 48 hours, the first one free. NRP/556 is Phoenix’s Adult and Geriatric Management II course. It is the second half of the adult and geriatric sequence, pairing theory with clinical hours to manage everyday conditions in adult and geriatric patients across the major body systems, with coding and billing and with evidence-based guidelines guiding prevention, disease management and evaluation of outcomes. What NRP/556 is really about

Where NRP/555 often begins with single conditions, NRP/556 moves toward patients whose problems interact. Heart failure with kidney disease, atrial fibrillation in a patient who falls, dementia with depression and chronic pain with opioid risk are typical of the cases. The course asks nurse practitioner students to manage these patients in primary care, recognize when referral is needed and weigh the burden of treatment against its benefit, especially for older adults.

Assignments usually take the form of case studies and management plans, with differentials, diagnostics, drug therapy, teaching, follow-up and coding. Later weeks often ask for a full plan for an older adult with several chronic conditions, including a medication review and a discussion of goals of care.

What NRP/556’s assessments ask for

Graders reward prioritization. A strong plan for a patient with several conditions identifies which problem matters most today, explains how the treatments interact and names what will be stopped or changed as well as what will be added. Deprescribing decisions should be supported by a recognized tool, such as the American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria, and goals of care should be stated in the patient's terms.

Where students lose points in NRP/556

Students lose points by treating each condition separately and adding drugs for each, which produces plans that could harm an older adult. Another common loss is missing referral criteria, such as when new atrial fibrillation or a rising creatinine needs specialist input. Coding that does not reflect the complexity documented is a smaller but frequent deduction.

Using a NRP/556 sample the right way

Share your case; the first sample built on it is free and most arrive by the second day. Watch how it ranks problems and decides what to stop as well as what to start. Then apply the same order to your own patient, beginning with what matters most to them.

How these samples are written

Every sample in this stack is written the way the custom ones are: the instructions decoded first, a subject-matched writer drafting to the rubric, format checked line by line. Phoenix runs several course models, weekly letter-graded, competency-based, and directed-study, so a custom request is always written to what YOUR classroom shows, never from a stale template.

NRP/556 questions, answered

What is deprescribing?

The planned reduction or stopping of medications whose risks now outweigh their benefits, often in older adults taking many drugs.

What are the Beers Criteria?

A list maintained by the American Geriatrics Society of medications that are potentially inappropriate for older adults, used to guide safer prescribing.

Does NRP/556 include clinical hours?

Yes. It is a combined theory and clinical course in adult and geriatric primary care.
